A well-established building services contractor is seeking a skilled Ductwork Estimator to join their growing team. With a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial, and public-sector projects, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking for stability, progression, and a flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Tender Preparation

  • Produce accurate estimates for ductwork and associated HVAC installations across a range of project sizes.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed costings.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.

Technical & Commercial Support

  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams, supporting bid strategies and cost planning.
  • Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits when required.
  • Assist in value engineering to offer cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and the commercial team throughout the tender process.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.

Project Handover & Administration

  • Prepare full tender submissions and support the smooth transition from tender to project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and pricing libraries to support ongoing estimating efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Ductwork Estimator within building services or HVAC sectors.
  • Strong understanding of SMACNA/DW144 standards and ductwork fabrication methods.
  • Competent in interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and supplier negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with some hybrid flexibility.
