Our Early Years Practitioners are the backbone of Kingwood Children - they bring their knowledge, experience and natural enthusiasm to deliver outstanding teaching and learning, enabling children to achieve their full potential. We encourage our Practitioners to work collaboratively and in an inclusive style: supporting and mentoring less experienced team members. It goes without saying that Practitioners should be able to build and maintain strong relationships with our children and their families, and to foster a love of the outdoors and the magic of the natural world.
Specific Accountabilities / Primary Responsibilities:
Planning, preparation and facilitating of stimulating activities that support children's learning and development, and individual needs.
Role modelling high expectations, with a committed and enthusiastic approach, to our children as well as more junior members of staff.
Fostering a love of the outdoors and nature, exploring the wonderful world around us.
Facilitating and supporting with mealtimes – promoting our 'family meal' approach.
Working with parents / carers of children with additional needs in order to facilitate their inclusion into the setting.
Working with external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for all children.
Being accountable for your own development, and seeking out opportunities to learn new skills.
