Mechanic Wanted – Five Sisters Zoo & Associated Landscape Company

We're looking for an experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair a range of commercial and light vehicles used by Five Sisters Zoo and our landscaping company.

About the role:

You'll be responsible for keeping our fleet in top working order — from small vans and pickups to larger commercial vehicles and equipment used across our zoo and landscaping operations.

Key duties:

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs

  • Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults

  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment are roadworthy and compliant

  • Keep accurate service and maintenance records

  • Support the team with vehicle-related logistics when required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a vehicle mechanic (commercial and/or light vehicles)

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

  • Relevant qualifications and full UK driving licence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £25,314.25-£50,954.86 per year
