IT Assistant

We're looking for a part-time IT Assistant to help with essential tasks outside regular business hours. You'll work a mix of weekday evening and Saturday shifts, focusing on preparatory works for our daytime support team.

This role will focus on routine out of hour fixes, preparing devices, handling inventory, and performing basic repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Take care of routine system updates and general maintenance to keep everything running smoothly for the next day.
• Prepare laptops, desktops, and other hardware for the in-hours team to deploy. Ensure all machines are setup, tested ready for use with correct configurations.
• Sort hardware and equipment, keep the storage area tidy, and update inventory records.
• Help with simple repairs on PCs, laptops, and other devices.
• Package equipment and prep devices to be sent to various sites.
• General tech office management, tidying and organisation.

What We're Looking For:

• Basic IT skills, particularly in hardware setup (we'll provide training where needed).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently during out-of-hours shifts.
• Reliable, punctual, and a good problem-solver.
• Experience with simple hardware repairs is a plus.

Hours are;

2 x Weekday Evenings - 4pm - 8pm

1 x Saturday - 9am - 2pm

Role is initially a 3 month fixed term with a view to extend.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 13 per week
