About The Role
We are seeking a Software Integrations Engineer to join our dynamic and high-performance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated developer to tackle complex technical challenges and develop their career in systems integration. You will work closely with experienced mentors and be involved in key projects that will allow you to take on increasing responsibilities related to integrations, databases, and system interfaces. Your primary focus will be designing, developing, and deploying integration solutions that connect our automation platforms with customer ERP and business systems.
A significant aspect of your role will involve modernizing our integration capabilities through API-driven solutions, while also maintaining and supporting legacy systems as required.
You will collaborate with engineers across our UK offices in Nottingham and Congleton, as well as work directly with customers to address real-world manufacturing challenges. This role emphasizes innovation, including the use of AI tools in development workflows, and offers a platform for professional growth within a forward-thinking environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in C and C# .NET programming languages
- Strong SQL skills, including writing queries, stored procedures, and optimization techniques
- Knowledge of XML and JSON data structures
- Experience with desktop application development in Windows environments (WinForms, WPF, VB.NET)
- Hands-on experience with Visual Studio development environment
- Excellent communication skills and a professional client-facing demeanor
- Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in software development and systems integration
- Full UK driving license and willingness to undertake on-site commissioning work, including occasional travel within the UK and overseas
- Ability to work from the office five days a week
Responsibilities
- Develop robust and scalable integrations using C, C# .NET, APIs, SQL, and MVC frameworks within Visual Studio
- Maintain and enhance Windows-based desktop applications, including WinForms, WPF, and legacy VB.NET systems
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to scope, design, and deliver integration projects effectively
- Build and maintain scalable data solutions leveraging SQL, XML, and JSON data formats
- Debug, optimize, and performance tune applications to ensure high reliability and efficiency
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions and integrations
- Support on-site commissioning activities, including occasional travel across the UK and internationally
- Continuously learn and implement best practices in systems integration, automation, and related technologies
