Chester CH BQ, United Kingdom CWP (Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) Full time £30,000 - £60,000 per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of our developing CYP Emergency and Urgent care provision. As part of the NHS 5 Year Forward View, CWP have developed the crisis response services for CYP.

We are recruiting a number of clinicians to CWP's newly formed CYP Urgent Support Team.

You will form part of our skilled, multidisciplinary team. Clinicians will be offered the opportunity to continue to develop skills & experience in this area through the induction process, internal training, CPD & supervision.

The service will operate over 24 hours, 7 days a week to provide crisis mental health assessment & interventions for CYP in a range of settings, as well as operating the CYP aspect of the trust wide crisis line. Team members work 11.5 hour shifts.

The service covers the whole of the CWP footprint, with multiple hubs across this patch. The post holder could be based in Wirral, Chester, Crewe or Macclesfield but will be expected to support the Wirral base. However, all Clinical Co-ordinators are expected to travel to support hubs across the CWP patch based on clinical activity & service need.

Planned shortlist date is the 25/11/2025 and planned interview date will be 09/12/2025.

Please see Job description in post advert for details.

Clinical Co-ordinators form an integral part of the service, with responsibilities such as supervision of junior staff, training and development, service development and overseeing complex cases and escalations. Although a clinical role there are also aspects of management, such as performance management and rostering.

Applicants need to be able to think on their feet, working flexibly to manage incoming unplanned work across the day, leading a team of staff to achieve this, whilst offering support and clinical knowledge to junior staff.

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for a population of over one million people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care, as well as the provision of three GP surgeries in Cheshire.

We employ around 4,500 staff across 73 sites and have services across Wirral and Cheshire, as well as Trafford, Warrington, Bolton, Halton and Liverpool.

Our aim is to help improve the lives of everyone in our communities, adopting a compassionate, person-centred approach to everything we do. We are rated as Outstanding for Caring by the Care Quality Commission, with a Good rating overall.

As a Disability Confident Employer, Rainbow Badge Scheme member, Veteran Aware organisation and proud holder of the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, CWP is committed to making our recruitment practices as inclusive as possible and developing a culture that values differences, and welcome applications from people who have direct experience of accessing our services.

All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.

Whether you are just starting out in your career or looking to use your existing skills and experience in a new role, you'll find something to suit you at CWP.
