Our London & East Fostering service is looking for a Team Manager to join an established team based in our office in Harold Wood. We are interested in speaking with current Team Managers, Senior or Advanced Practitioners, as you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in this role.
As a Team Manager, you will work closely with our Service Manager to help shape, influence, and implement the continued growth of this service within London, Essex and Kent areas. This will include driving forward carer recruitment and retention initiatives as well as overseeing the day-to-day duty/referral process.
In supporting the Service Manager, you will need to be someone with strong leadership qualities and a passion for improving outcomes for children is desirable for this role.
You must be registered with Social Work England and either hold a Management or Leadership qualification or be prepared to undertake training on this.
At our London & East Service, there are some requirements to travel for Operational Area Meetings, Support Groups and Training Events.
This is an exciting, but demanding opportunity for someone to continue to build on an established fostering team. This will require someone with Vision, Energy and strong Leadership and Management skills to achieve what we expect of the service in the future.

Hours:
This is a full-time role of 37 hours covering 5 days per week, and some flexibility can be working from home when agreed by the service manager.
Monday to Thursday 9 am – 5 pm and Friday 9 am – 4:30 pm although some flexibility will be required.

Requirements:
- The desire to be a team player who wants to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our children and foster carers.
- Experience working in the fostering sector or with children/young people in social care.
- A formal social work qualification
- Be registered as a social worker with Social Work England
- Have a valid driving license.
- The right to work in the UK.
