Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and autism.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in their condition to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Assist with medication administration as per care plans.
  • Engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life and promote mental well-being.
  • Document patient care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize assistive devices such as mobile hoists and wheelchairs when necessary for patient mobility.

Skills

  • First aid preferred but not essential as full training given
  • Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of care plans and experience working with individuals with dementia is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
