The Maintenance Team operate within the Department to maintain M&E equipment & services. The team is tasked with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance of all systems on the University Estate.

You will carry out electrical maintenance both reactive and planned on a range of equipment, including AHU's, piped and ducted systems, pumps, pressurisation units, lighting, emergency lighting, controls, and power distribution systems.

You will hold an appropriate City and Guilds Part 2 Certificate or equivalent and/or Craft Apprenticeship as an electrician. You must be able to demonstrate a range of M&E skills and experience.

You will have considerable experience as an electrician or equivalent, working on the electrical services installations within buildings on a large estate.

The post holder shall have familiarity with BS 7671 requirements, both theoretical and practical.

All team members are expected to work a basic working week based on a shift system which is generally 07:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday with a cyclic late shift of 12:00 to 20:00 and a cyclic Saturday shift of 08:00 to 16:00.
