We're seeking a
Senior Social Worker
with at least two years' post-ASYE experience to join our established
Sustained Services Mental Health Team
. In this pivotal role, you'll make a meaningful impact by supporting adults in the community who are living with complex mental health needs.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Social Worker, you will:
- Work collaboratively with the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and wider partners.
- Carry out timely and responsive assessments, reviews, and re-assessments to deliver personalised, strengths-based care.
- Manage a complex caseload and lead on cases requiring specialist knowledge.
- Complete Court of Protection applications and contribute to legal proceedings where required.
- Undertake Care Act Assessments, Section 117 reviews, Mental Capacity Act assessments, Best Interest decisions, Community Deprivation of Liberty Orders and Social Circumstances Report.
- Respond to safeguarding referrals, conduct risk assessments, and implement protection plans.
- Provide senior duty support and professional guidance across the wider Mental Health team.
- Contribute to service development, sharing expertise and supporting continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who:
- Holds Social Work England registration.
- Has 2 years post-ASYE experience.
- Has a strong background in delivering statutory duties, including Care Act responsibilities and safeguarding adults.
- Has experience or knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Human Rights Act 1998.
- Is confident in undertaking complex assessments.
- Demonstrates creativity, innovation, and a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable adults.
- Brings excellent communication and relationship-building skills to foster collaborative working across agencies.
- Is motivated, resilient, and ready to take on a senior role within the team.
