About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Team Member to work under the direction of the Facilities Manager, providing essential support across maintenance, health and safety, and school event setup. This varied role involves assisting with day-to-day site management, responding promptly to health and safety concerns, supporting school events and assemblies, and helping with general maintenance duties, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical tasks, and grounds upkeep. You will also assist with deliveries, classroom and dining room arrangements, car park supervision, and provide cover for colleagues during absences. The role requires being on call while on duty, driving the school vehicle as required, and acting as Fire Warden, supporting both planned and unplanned fire evacuations.
This is a permanent, full-time role.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a reliable and proactive individual with strong IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and email, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of taking responsibility for health and safety in the workplace, including compliance testing and completion of relevant documentation. You will have a minimum of five GCSEs, including English and Maths (or equivalent), and proven experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general maintenance tasks. We are seeking someone who is polite, professional, and helpful, with a calm and well-organised approach, able to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy school environment. The successful candidate will be a strong team player, able to work collaboratively as part of an established team while maintaining high standards at all times.
