Overview

The Front of House Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests while leading and managing the front of house team. This position requires a dynamic individual who possesses strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a background in restaurant or hotel management, with experience in food preparation, cooking, and team management.

Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the front of house area, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained.
  • Lead and supervise the front of house team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage reservations and guest seating arrangements to optimise customer flow and satisfaction.
  • Train staff in food safety protocols, hospitality standards, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house operations.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner to enhance customer experience.
  • Monitor inventory levels for dining supplies and coordinate with suppliers as necessary.
  • Implement health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and guests.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in restaurants or hotels.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Culinary experience is advantageous, including food preparation and cooking skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Familiarity with serving techniques and barista experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
