In a nutshell

As a Business Analyst at Unified you'll take the lead on scoping new projects and larger pieces of work for our ecommerce clients.

Our projects can be large or small, they can be design-led or technical, they could include anything from a complex ERP integration through to a new piece of functionality…the projects are varied and interesting

What you'll do

Working in collaboration with your project manager, client stakeholders and our solution teams, you'll be responsible for capturing the client requirements, specifications and scope for projects and more complex pieces of work.

You will tailor the scoping approach, workshops, deskwork and interviews as you see fit in order to carefully detail and document core requirements. You will work with the project team to create the specification, input to the solution architecture and support the generation of delivery estimates for the complete project work – capturing both functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and lead workshops and client meetings to gather and document requirements, user stories/flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Create high-quality user stories and requirements that accurately reflect business needs and priorities.
  • Map business process and integration flows and create technical specification documents as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Unified solutions and development teams to develop the solution plan and architecture.
  • Support the handover of requirements to the project development teams including the creation of JIRA tickets.
  • Effectively manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Check that the in-progress development work will deliver against the agreed requirements, and identify when new requirements are being requested or have been changed.

  • Have 3+ years' experience as a BA or Technical Product Owner
  • Experience in designing and leading workshops and client interviews
  • A proven process, or framework, that you are able to explain and, ideally, demonstrate
  • Have worked with complex system integrations and/or with ecommerce projects / platforms
  • Enjoy working both independently and as part of a project team
  • Apply logical thinking and have a high attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Have experience in leading workshops around business requirements and system integrations
  • Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience of JIRA desirable
  • Experience with Magento and Shopify desirable
  • Experience working with designers, wireframes and developers desirable
