Your Role as a Cleaner

As a Cleaner, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the nursery by ensuring all areas are clean, hygienic, and well-maintained. You'll work closely with the nursery team to support a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out general cleaning duties including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
  • Maintaining cleanliness in key areas such as playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
  • Using cleaning products safely and in accordance with health & safety guidelines
  • Ensuring all areas meet high standards of hygiene, especially in line with childcare regulations
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to management
  • Supporting the wider nursery team in creating a clean, safe environment for children and staff

About You

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
  • Flexible and able to adapt to different needs across the nursery
  • Understanding of COSHH and basic health & safety
  • Friendly and respectful attitude, with a team-oriented mindset
