Job introduction

We are looking for a Deputy Service Lead with the Schools Mental Health Service.

You will be working with the Service Lead to ensure that line management and supervision of team members is undertaken in a professional and appropriate manner, leading on broader mental health initiatives and covering for the Service Lead when appropriate. The Deputy Service Lead will need to be aware of trends and data in order to support the Service Lead with decision making.

You will also have a clinical workload, and will require an appropriate professional qualification in order to undertake this.

About the role

Represent the service at wider meetings, undertake specific areas of focus and work with colleagues from other services, both within Brighton and Hove and pan Sussex.

Provide a day-to-day operational support service across all elements of the service through line management, performance management and clinical supervision within the Schools Mental Health Service (SMHS), working as a member of the Senior Team to ensure all guidance documents, policies and clinical offers are operating within National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines and national standards.

Provide leadership around clinical work and undertake clinical supervision for the SMHS, with the support of the Clinical Psychologist within the service.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
