Interim Senior Associate / Counsel – Fund Finance (5+ PQE)

London | 6–12 month + contract

A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel (5+ PQE) to join its busy Fund Finance team on an interim basis for 6–12 months. The team has a strong reputation in the fund finance market and is looking for a senior lawyer to provide additional support during a period of high deal flow.

The Role

This is a senior position working closely with the head of the fund finance practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in running transactions, supporting client relationships, and contributing to business development initiatives. The role requires someone who can operate independently and confidently manage workstreams with limited supervision.

The position is purely fund finance focused, and would suit a lawyer who has worked on subscription line, NAV, and other fund-related lending transactions. Experience of both lender and borrower-side mandates is welcome, but a clear commitment to fund finance as a core specialism is essential.

Team and Work

The team advises a broad client base of leading banks, alternative lenders, and credit funds on complex fund finance structures. The majority of work is lender-side, though sponsor-side opportunities are growing.

Candidate Profile

  • England & Wales qualified with at least 5+ years' PQE.
  • Strong technical fund finance experience, ideally gained at a leading international or US firm.
  • Capable of managing deals independently and supporting junior team members.
  • Confident engaging with clients and contributing to business development.
  • Open to working in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Available for a 6–12 month interim contract.
