The aim of STILL I RISE is to provide suitable, homely and nurturing accommodation and support for the young people. We ensure that through our support we are able to achieve the desire outcomes of the placement for all of our Young People .

We are looking for flexible Support Workers – to deliver exceptional support to Young People aged 16 – 18+ to help us to maintain a high standard of support.

As a Support Worker, you will be required to support and deliver sessions that will promote the life skills of our young people and support their successful transition into adulthood.

We are looking for candidates who are available to start work with immediate effect. All new candidates will have a formal induction, shadow shifts and will be enrolled onto our core training matrix and receive additional training paid for by the company.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Provide suitable/ everyday practical and emotional support to young people placed within our homes.
  • Work with the Professionals to implement the support plan for each young person within our service and ensure we provide support that meets the young person's needs.
  • Have strong safeguarding understanding and awareness and be able to raise any concerns immediately.
  • Implement our Still I Rise Key work blueprint. Carry out independent living skills, key work sessions with our young people and encourage engagement especially with young people who present with challenging behaviour and/or low engagement.
  • Encourage young people to liaise with relevant agencies to ensure that they receive appropriate levels of support.
  • Accompany young people to fun activities with other residents.
  • Our Support Workers must ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Have a genuine passion to support young people and really make a difference.

Experience

  • At least 1 years evidenced experience of working with children and adolescents or a similar support worker/ care worker role
  • Able to provide two professional, written and verbal employment references
  • Qualifications to support the role being advertised, you will be asked to provide if successful.

Must be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check - post is subject to satisfactory DBS check and references.

Pay: From £191.92 per day
