Role: Senior Credit Controller
Salary: £28,000 (per annum FTE) + Benefits
Job Location: Chorley
We're looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join our friendly, fun, and hardworking finance department at our parent company, NTG. This is a part-time role (25 hours/week) with the potential to increase.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of our credit control function, managing your own ledgers and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
We're looking for someone with outstanding collaboration and communication skills, as you'll be a key contact for both internal teams and external customers.
Your experience in credit vetting will help us assess new customer orders and ensure a strong, reliable credit control process.
A day in the life of a Senior Credit Controller looks a little like this:
- Credit control for multiple companies within the Group.
- Chasing of outstanding balances via phone, letter and email.
- DOA for credit approvals.
- Prepare Direct Debit Sign Ups/ Collections.
- Assist Purchase Ledger with the collection of supplier refunds.
- Query resolution and escalation following chase procedures and policies.
- Management of LBA / DCA / Legal process.
- Develop relationships with other parts of the business, particularly sales and customer services.
Role requirements
- Proven Credit Control based background.
- An effective team player with a precise approach and close attention to detail.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Excel.
- Competency in using Word, Outlook Email/Calendar, PowerPoint etc.
- Experience with Sage 200.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Customer-focused with excellent relationship building skills, with both clients and colleagues.
- A problem-solving, solution-based mentality.
- Calm and considered when working under pressure.
Desirable
- Experience in multi-company processing.
- Experience working within the telecoms/IT industry.
- Experience with Credit Hound.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
