The Role: Casual Driver/Bearer

We're currently seeking a Casual Driver/Bearer to join our team in A N Abraham Funeral Directors - South Elmsall. This is a meaningful and flexible role, ideal for someone who wants to make a difference while working around other commitments. You'll be part of a dedicated team, supporting funeral ceremonies with dignity, care, and professionalism.

What You'll Do:

  • Carry the coffin and drive ceremonial vehicles during funeral services.
  • Support the Funeral Director and Arranger in delivering a seamless and respectful service.
  • Maintain ceremonial vehicles to a high standard before and after use.
  • Follow local customs and cultural practices with sensitivity and respect.
  • Stay informed through regular company updates and communications.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible shifts with a minimum of 3 hours per booking.
  • Competitive pay of £12.79 per hour (£38.36 per 3-hour shift minimum).
  • A supportive and respectful team environment.

What You'll Need:

  • A calm, professional, and compassionate approach.
  • A Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Awareness of different religions and cultures.
  • Willingness to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends.
