The Role
We're looking for a proactive and technically minded
Pre-Sales / Solutions Consultant
to bridge the gap between our commercial and technical teams. You'll play a crucial role in the sales cycle, helping prospective customers understand Hook's value, ensuring seamless technical validation, demos and setting up new customers for long-term success.
You'll own all technical aspects of the pre-sales process, from security and compliance checks through to writing Statements of Work (SOWs) for enterprise customers. You'll lead on RFPs, due diligence, and technical documentation, acting as the link between our Sales, Customer Success and Operations teams to ensure smooth handovers and exceptional customer experience.
This is a strategic and hands-on role perfect for someone who loves the blend of technology, consulting, and commercial problem solving.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own technical validation: Lead technical discovery and ensure prospective customers fully understand Hook's architecture, integrations, and data processes.
- Manage RFPs and security reviews: Take ownership of RFP responses, data protection assessments, and security questionnaires, collaborating with Sales, Product and Operations to deliver accurate and timely responses.
- Scope complex solutions: Work with Sales and Customer Success to define requirements, prepare SOWs for enterprise customers, and ensure that proposed solutions are viable and aligned with Hook's capabilities.
- Drive seamless handovers: Act as the bridge between Sales and Customer Success to ensure every deal moves smoothly from sale to delivery with full technical clarity.
- Be the customer's trusted advisor: Translate complex technical details into clear business outcomes for prospects and customers.
- Enable the Sales team: Create and maintain pre-sales resources, technical documentation, and playbooks to improve efficiency across the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to feedback customer insights and influence future product direction.
Who We're Looking For
- Strong technical and commercial acumen - you can translate complex systems into clear business impact.
- Experience supporting SaaS or data-driven software solutions in a customer-facing, pre-sales, or solutions role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when drafting technical responses, proposals, and documentation.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Naturally curious, proactive, and adaptable - you thrive in a fast-moving, scaling environment.
