The Casework Team is based within Housing Options and is responsible for providing housing advice and assistance to clients who present as homeless or at risk of homelessness.

A typical day working in our team will involve managing a caseload, using a person-centred approach to undertake detailed housing assessments, taking actions to prevent homelessness and making statutory homeless determinations.

Working as part of the generic team, you will be supporting clients to find solutions for their housing issues and will do this by providing housing and financial advice and support, liaising with landlords and developing personalised housing plans for customers with a firm focus on the prevention of homelessness.

For those whose homelessness cannot be prevented, you will work to find suitable accommodation to enable move-on from temporary accommodation as quickly as possible.

You will need to be organised, empathetic and adaptable to change within a busy working environment. You will also be experienced in partnership working.
