About the Role 

LeapFrog Investments is looking for an exceptional data intern to join the Impact measurement and management team, work daily with one of our Impact Officers and the Head of Impact. You will provide critical data analysis to build out our impact data and share with our stakeholders, both internally and externally. You will be expected to take the initiative, problem solve and offer solutions, to data challenges. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with strong data analysis skills – and typically with 2-3 years' experience - to gain experience in the delivery of impact measurement projects and reporting and data analysis that supports measuring impact across the investment cycle. The role is required to work from our London office a minimum of 3 days per week. Start date: January 2025.

Core Responsibilities 

Project Management of Annual Data Collection, Aggregation and Reviews

  • Track progress of data submissions from teams.
  • Follow up with stakeholders across the company to gather inputs and chase missing inputs.
  • Track and manage review process of key data points.

Annual Data Aggregation Support

  • Support the compilation and cleaning of portfolio-wide impact data.
  • Ensure consistency across datasets.

Annual Impact Call Preparation

  • Support creation of visuals and data for PowerPoint presentation.

Dashboard Development

  • Help build dashboards to improve data visibility for annual results.

Process Improvement Identification

  • Observe and document inefficiencies in current workflows.
  • Propose practical enhancements to improve data operations.

Data Assurance

  •   Support the data assurance process for impact data.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years' professional experience in Data Science, Analytics, or Consulting, or a related role.
  • Advanced degree preferred, e.g., MBA, Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science or Statistics.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Working with large datasets.
    • Structuring data analysis.
    • Using data visualisation tools.
    • Responding to data requests.
  • Experience working with iLevel is advantageous.

  • Skilled in arranging data logically and efficiently to support reporting, dashboarding, and analysis workflows.

  • Advanced Excel skills, strong PowerPoint skills, and knowledge of data visualisation tools.

Communication and Visualization Skills

  • Able to present complex data clearly and compellingly through dashboards and PowerPoint, highlighting key insights and trends for internal and external audiences.
  • Capable of distilling analytical outputs into concise messages.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Superb relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders at various levels and professionalism.
  • Experience working in diverse and global teams, seeking input from, and harmonising diverse perspectives and practices.

Initiative and continuous learning

  • Strong organisational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks.
  • Proactive self-starter with drive, flexibility, and resilience to get things done and quickly reprioritise tasks as needed.
