About The Role
We are seeking a creative, trend-aware, socially driven Social Content and Influencer Manager to lead our social media presence and storytelling across platforms, with an Instagram-first mindset. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role is all about bringing our brand, our members and our thought leadership to life through dynamic, socially native content.
You'll be at the forefront of shaping how we show up online, creating engaging Reels, attending events to capture and share the energy in real time, working across teams to turn policy insights, professional development stories and events into shareable, human and visually engaging social moments.
You'll combine a strategic understanding of social platforms with a hands-on ability to create, edit and publish compelling content that drives engagement, reach and brand saliency.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a social-first content strategy aligned with brand, communications and organisational objectives.
- Plan, shoot and edit high-quality Reels, Stories and short-form video content optimised for Instagram and other key channels (LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Attend and cover events, capturing real-time content that showcases the energy, insights and people behind our brand.
- Identifying and working with relevant influencers.
- Work collaboratively with the Policy, Professional Development and Events teams to translate their work into socially engaging narratives and formats.
- Identify and harness trending topics, formats and sounds to keep our content relevant, fresh and discoverable.
- Manage the social content calendar, scheduling and community engagement across all platforms and work with the SEO manager to tie into the overarching content plan.
- Analyse performance metrics to track success, learn what works and continually refine the content strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners and influencers to amplify reach and engagement.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, visual identity and messaging guidelines.

Essential
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
- Proven experience managing social media channels for a brand, organisation or agency.
- Demonstrable track record of creating and growing engaging social content, especially on Instagram and TikTok.
- Track record of identifying, engaging and producing with Influencers.
Knowledge
- Audience behaviour and digital culture: understanding what drives engagement, community and loyalty across different audiences and platforms.
- Brand storytelling in a professional or policy context: knowledge of how to translate complex ideas (like policy insights or business themes) into accessible, shareable content.
- Content strategy and lifecycle: awareness of how social and influencer content supports wider marketing and communications goals — from awareness to advocacy.
- Event and campaign integration: understanding how live events, campaigns and key moments can be leveraged to maximise visibility and impact on social.
- Governance and reputation management: awareness of tone, sensitivity and accuracy when posting on behalf of a professional or membership organisation.
- Measurement and impact: understanding how social data and analytics connect to wider organisational objectives and reputation metrics.
- Trends in social and influencer innovation: keeping abreast of emerging tools, platforms
- and technologies shaping digital engagement.
Experience
- Understanding of the business, policy, and professional development landscape (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Familiarity with social media best practices across B2B, B2C and professional audiences.
- Knowledge of brand building, audience engagement and influencer collaboration.
Skills
- Content Creation & Editing: skilled in producing and editing social-first videos (e.g. Reels, TikToks, Stories) using tools such as CapCut, InShot, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Storytelling: exceptional ability to craft compelling visual and written narratives that connect with audiences.
- Social Platform Expertise: deep understanding of the algorithms, best practices and tone of major platforms — especially Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn.
- Influencer Management: identifying and vetting relevant influencers, briefing and editing content.
- Community Management: skilled at engaging audiences, responding to comments and fostering genuine online conversations.
- Trendspotting: ability to identify emerging trends, formats and cultural moments and translate them into brand-relevant content.
- Analytics & Reporting: confident using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Sprout, Hootsuite, Google Analytics) to measure engagement and inform strategy.
- Project Management: Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, campaigns and content pipelines.
- Creative Direction: Eye for design, visual consistency and brand alignment.
- Photography & Videography: Comfortable capturing high-quality photos and video content on the go.
