REMUNERATION: About the Service
The Concierge Support Worker role will encompass a split between night concierge type duties and support, which will focus on the safety and security of the premises including health and safety and routine repair reporting, and providing needs, risk and aspirational led support for the service users who are resident in the accommodations.
Concierge will control access to building, be the first point of contact for all emergencies and carrying out Health and Safety checks.

Red Supported Living provides supported living to vulnerable adults with mental illness, and homelessness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service User Support
To treat all tenants with dignity and respect, to act in a calm and objective way when dealing with difficult or problematic situations.
To support tenants in crisis and ensure they are given the appropriate help and support.
To offer general support related to the tenants' needs, risks and aspirations and to facilitate access to emergency services if required.
To maintain accurate tenant records, recording all interventions and support offered to tenants.
To handover any ongoing support interventions for individual tenants to the wider staff team.
2. Moving on Support:
Ensure 1:1 contact time with everyone you are key worker for 15/30 minutes a week.
Ensure service charge is collected from all allocated tenants and others if requested.
Support individuals to register with GP, Dentist, Optician, drugs and alcohol services, ROAD etc.
Support individuals / small groups to prepare and cook nutritional meals once a week per house.
Provide budgeting support to everyone you are keyworker especially those not paying their service charge.
Support tenant to attend professional appointments at Job Centre, mental health, Drug/Alcohol Services, Probation, PIP Assessments.
3. Managing a Habitable Home:
Ensure weekly house meetings take place. (Minimise house disruption).
Ensure welfare checks take place as per your allocated
evening. (Tenant safety).
- Check individuals' rooms to see if the person present and ensure house safety by checking windows and doors are locked. (Tenant safety / Property management).
4. Support individuals to wash and change bedding, keep rooms tidy, keep communal areas tidy, clean ovens, cookers, microwaves, clean carpets, fridge/freezers, ensure people smoke outside and no cigarette ends are left in the back yard or in the front of the property. (Property management / Risk management)
5. Support tenants to engage within a range of education, and training opportunities. (Risk management)
4. Security:
To deal with emergency situations, taking action in the event of a fire or other incident and being responsible for calling emergency services in an appropriate manner.
To report all relevant incidents to the Housing Manager in line with procedure and to ensure good record keeping of any incidents, in line with organisational procedure and to handover to Housing Manager.
To access appropriate management and off site support as appropriate to manage situations as they arise.
To provide overnight waking cover to ensure a safe and secure environment and maintain high standards within the premises by logging and recording any maintenance issues in accordance with procedures and assisting with the maintenance of the office, houses, furniture and fittings as appropriate.
To ensure the security of the office and houses through regular Health and Safety checks.
To identify issues / incidents and take appropriate action to reduce and minimise risk.
To monitor and respond to the duty phone when on duty.
5. Fitness for Purpose
1. Ensure weekly checks of smoke alarms, monoxide and fire detectors are inspected and any defects reported and take responsibility for ensuring completion of said repairs in a timely manner.
Ensure all contact time with tenants and related contact is recorded within 24 hours including all incident and other related forms. I.e., Damage reporting.
Conduct other duties and be available to cover colleague's sickness and holidays.
Clean out rooms when tenants leave and make the room ready for the next person within two hours of the person leaving where feasible to do so.
Regular weekly checks of bedrooms for evidence of smoking, cleanliness, damages or anything that's been removed without authorisation.
Ensure all repairs are reported for early remedy of works needed.
To participate and complete all identified training and development opportunities.
Performance Management:
To attend supervision and team briefings
To work in a flexible manner to promote tenant needs and the service and work proactively with management to ensure a healthy work life balance.
To work proactively with tenants and with neighbours and other community members to ensure minimum disturbance of any form of anti-social behaviour.
Before ringing the police unless a 999 situation gain management approval.
Before any resources are allocated please gain authorisation from management.
To adhere to the post holder's own responsibilities to health and safety in the work-place, and to colleagues, service users and the general public.
To provide basic first contact advice and security to tenants and to contact the Housing Manager / emergency services if appropriate for the properties.
7. Performance Indicators
Reduction in anti-social behaviours.
Evidence of tenants meeting Care Act 2014 Outcomes.
Evidence of supporting statutory services.

Experience of providing positive tenant service.
