Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring safety standards are met.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles.
  • Read and interpret schematics to determine the layout and installation requirements.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for roof installations.
  • Conduct carpentry work related to roofing structures, including framing and sheathing.
  • Assist with plumbing and masonry tasks as they relate to roof drainage systems.
  • Lift heavy materials and equipment safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in roofing or similar construction roles is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools used in roofing applications.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
  • Experience in carpentry, plumbing, or masonry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the day.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
