Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated morning Home Care Support Worker to provide essential support to individuals in their homes during our morning shifts. ( 8 am - 11 am ). The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, assisting with daily living routines, light domestic duties and companionship. This role is vital in ensuring that clients receive the care they need in a comfortable and familiar environment. We only operate in the Minehead area, so travelling is kept to a minimum.

Duties

- Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

- Administer medication as prescribed.

- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.

- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.

- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs, ensuring that nutritional requirements are met.

- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.

- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in home care is preferred but not essential.

- Ability to work independently while also being a team player when required.

- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach towards client care.

- A valid driving licence and own vehicle is required to enable you to visit our clients in their own home.

- Must be able to pass background checks as required by regulatory standards.
