About the role

The finance department at TEC Partnership are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Management Accountant to join and support the well established finance team on a temporary basis. This is a fast paced and diverse roll in which you will work closely with the Chief Finance Officer and the management accounts team, as well as working alongside the transactional and purchasing functions within the finance function. You will be expected to provide support to the management accounts team and work efficiently to meet deadlines and reporting requirements.

Other duties will include:

• Provide insightful budget reports and contribution analysis to Curriculum Managers.
• Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer in the provision of financial management information for College Leaders, Managers and the Governing Body.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and periodic re-forecasting.
• Work closely with department heads to provide financial guidance and support cost control.
• Forecast and budget reporting.
• Accurate upkeep of the budgets and strong communication with budget holders.
• Responsibility for the internal and external audit procedures and requirements.

About the person

The successful candidate will be driven with a key attention to detail, as well as strong organisation skills. The ideal candidate will support and motivate the management accounts team and lead on the monthly processes to ensure accurate and timely management accounts.

Candidates should also have:

• Professional Chartered Accountancy Qualification including CIMA, ACA, ACCA and CIPFA.
• Prior experience working in a fast paced senior management accounts role
• ICT competency
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non finance Managers
• A proactive mindset, eager to improve processes and add value
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
