Join Swan Family as a Supervised Contact Worker – Make a Real Difference

Are you passionate about supporting children and families? Do you want to be part of a dynamic, caring team that makes a positive impact in the community? Swan Family has an exciting opportunity for a Supervised Contact Worker to join our Croydon Children and Family Contact Centre.

No prior experience is needed – full training will be provided

In this rewarding role, you will help coordinate and supervise family time between children and their birth families, both at our contact centre and in the wider community. Every day brings the chance to support families, nurture relationships, and contribute to a child-focused, supportive environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Observing and supervising contact sessions between children and their parents or family members, ensuring safety and a positive experience for all.
  • Keeping clear and accurate records of your observations and reporting to social workers, escalating concerns when needed.
  • Transporting and escorting children and young people safely.
  • Actively participating in planning meetings, reviews, training, and supervision sessions.
  • Following safeguarding procedures at all times and acting promptly on any concerns.

Who we're looking for:

We're seeking empathetic, non-judgmental individuals with excellent communication skills who understand the importance of child-centred services. This role is perfect for social work students or anyone pursuing a career in social care.

Essential requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce or related field (or equivalent)
  • Current DBS for working with adults and children (we can support you with this)

Desirable:

  • Driving licence and access to a car
