Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to safety regulations.

Duties

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring the safe transport of goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as required.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and stock organisation.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles (e.g., vans or lorries) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential.
