Job Description: Head of Events and Experiences

Could you shape the future of events and experiences at Hampshire's landmark cultural sites?

We're looking for a strategic and creative leader to drive Hampshire Cultural Trust's events and experiences. This is a senior role with particular focus on Milestones Museum and The Great Hall, where programming and commercial innovation will be central to our growth, alongside the live performance programme across our arts centres and The Arc.

A bit about you

You'll have extensive experience creating and delivering large scale public events that delight and engage customers, whether in heritage, cultural, commercial, or live performance settings. You'll know how to make events memorable while generating significant income and achieving great returns, all without losing sight of cultural, community, and financial goals.

A natural leader and collaborator, you'll know how to motivate teams, manage budgets, and foster a culture of creativity and high performance. You'll be commercially astute, confident in building programmes that inspire audiences and generate impact, and able to spot new opportunities across visitor attractions, arts centres, and live performance.

Who we are

At Hampshire Cultural Trust we have a vision to create inspirational culture experiences that enrich and transform lives. We manage and support 20+ attractions and deliver county-wide outreach programmes that bring great culture to local communities. We also deliver a diverse range of wider social impact initiatives targeted at those who are most vulnerable or disadvantaged and who would not usually have access to arts and culture.

We promote equity, inclusion and diversity and a culture that actively values difference. We recognise that people from different backgrounds and experiences can enhance the way we perform and work and we encourage and support the physical and mental health and wellbeing of all our staff.

We are inclusive, valuing, and respectful of diversity, developing the ability to recruit and retain a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve. Therefore, we are committed to implementing reasonable adjustments for candidates with disabilities in our recruitment process and in employment.
