The Opportunity
We are looking for multiple Sales Estimators / Quantity Surveyors to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of experience in natural or sintered stone, worktops, tiling, KBB, construction, joinery, or interior design industries, with proven expertise in quoting and estimating.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed and accurate cost estimates, covering materials, fabrication, labour, and installation;
- Read and interpret building plans and design drawings effectively and accurately;
- Liaise with clients to confirm project specifications and address any queries
- Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure full understanding of project requirements
- Adapt estimates to reflect specification changes and revisions
- Identify cost-saving measures and value-engineering opportunities
- Conduct site visits to gather information for estimating purposes
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members
- Carry out site visits to collect necessary information for accurate estimating
Requirements
- Previous experience as an estimator or quantity surveyor, ideally in the natural stone, construction, or interiors design industries.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D rendering software.
- Confident with Microsoft Office, email, and learning and adapting new softwares quickly.
- Excellent time management, punctuality, and organisational skills.
- Communicate with clients to confirm project specifications and details, and respond to any queries or concerns.
- Carry out site visits to collect necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Revise estimates as needed to reflect changes in project specifications.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sales experience is an advantage, with the opportunity for an uncapped commission structure.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering solutions.
