The role
As Head of Business Intelligence, you will primarily lead the strategic development and delivery of data capabilities across Member Services. Reporting into our Member Services Solutions & Delivery Director, you'll design and implement a data strategy that meets operational, regulatory, and scheme requirements, while aligning with Trustee expectations and enterprise-wide governance principles. You will also lead the development and implementation of an operational planning and performance capability across the Member Services business operations functions.
Within this role, you'll develop and deliver the Member Services data strategy aligned with Railpen's governance and member-first ethos and drive innovation in data use and improve data quality through process enhancements.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
The person

You will be familiar with pension administration systems and integration across platforms and have a deep understanding of financial services data structures and compliance. You will have past experience in leading data strategy and governance in regulated environments and experience in overseeing business operations resource planning and performance through robust tracking, analyses and recommendations for improvements. An ability to effectively manage data and analytics teams and encourage transformation initiatives is fundamental to this role.
As Head of Business Intelligence you will have a passion for delivering excellence for members. Collaboration is fundamental to this role to enable you to align data-driven capabilities with member service priorities and goals. You must be able to respectfully negotiate, communicate and influence to achieve necessary outcomes. The ability to think strategically, holistically, analytically and lead from the front is key, as is having a proven ability to innovate and solve problems in data-scarce environments. You'll lead by example and aim to maximise the potential of your direct reports by sharing your expertise, whilst helping to instil a continuous improvement mindset throughout Member Services.
Our values of integrity, community and alignment are the guiding principles that influence our behaviour. They help us make decisions and shape our relationships with others. They're what we stand for.
