Your role

As a Project Manager based in our Haverhill, MA location, you will have the dynamic role of leading cross-functional teams through the entire lifecycle of product development, from ideation and concept development to the production launch. You will orchestrate the coordination of engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, product management, and quality functions, ensuring that project goals are not just met, but exceeded, on time and within budget.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind innovation and success. We expect you to take ownership, uphold commitments, and drive results with a sense of accountability and passion. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:

  • Leading and managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects for Vacuum products including pumps, compressors, chillers, accessories and full systems
  • Defining project scope, timelines, budgets, and success metrics; monitoring KPIs to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Developing detailed project plans and managing budgets, tracking costs and variances.
  • Chairing and guiding cross-functional reviews from ideation through launch.
  • Implementing risk mitigation plans and managing change control processes.
  • Facilitating resolution of first article build issues across design, material, vendor, and process areas.
  • Leading project closure activities including final reporting and lessons learned.
  • Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and senior management.
  • Fostering a collaborative, service-oriented approach across global teams.

It goes without saying that you'll

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Preferably have a Project Management Certification and/or MBA (a plus).
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in project management within a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Have a track record of successfully leading new product development through the entire life cycle from concept to release to volume production – ranging from small derivative product development activity to full platform NPIs.

You don't need to tick every box to be suitable – a willingness to learn goes a long way. So, if you keep reading and feel inspired, always apply.
It's a bonus if you

  • Have a proven track record of leading, motivating and inspiring cross-functional teams.
  • Understand design and manufacturing processes.
  • Are proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Can manage changing scopes and adapt to evolving needs.
  • Are familiar with Agile or Hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Thrive on change, have inherent curiosity in how to do things better and are action oriented
  • Align with our Atlas Copco cultural behaviors: Act with Accountability; Act Experimentally; Act with Curiosity; Act with Respect and Act Collaboratively

In return, we offer

  • A friendly, family-like atmosphere
  • Plenty of opportunities to grow and develop
  • A culture known for respectful interaction, ethical behaviour, and integrity
  • Potential to see your ideas realised and to make an impact
  • New challenges and new things to learn every day
  • Access to global job opportunities, as part of the Atlas Copco Group
