Sitting within the Creative Studio, the Localisation Lead is a key part of the UNiDAYS globalisation operations, responsible for leading on EMEA foreign language projects and ensuring the very best quality translation/transcreation and cultural relevance of UNiDAYS global sites. As well as managing the delivery of daily translation requests, owning the relationship with a third party translation agency and consulting on globalisation projects.
Job Requirements
- Experience of leadership within a language translation environment
- Experience working with digital platforms
- Desirable: fluent in one or more EMEA languages, particularly FR
- Experience driving, scoping and scheduling transcreation within creative and business projects
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and self-motivation
- Responds well to feedback, building upon and applying learnings to both transcreation projects and personal style
- Excellent problem-solving and process optimisation skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, a natural collaborator
- Understands the importance of and always meets (sometimes urgent) deadlines.

Job responsibilities
- Oversee translation, transcreation and localisation services across multiple channels, business teams and markets, including third-party brands
- Own and manage the relationship with our external translation agency, maintaining, reviewing and sourcing third-party suppliers
- Responsible for localisation expansions into new regions, managing language requirements and QA
- Assess new technologies and capabilities in the localisation industry such as with AI and TMS to support our localisation workflows in collaboration with other business departments
- Responsible for researching for and reviewing creative campaigns across multiple regions reporting back any potential cultural considerations and localisation requirements, working in-language where required
- Manage the day-to-day transcreation processes end-to-end, from cultural review through briefing the agency, feedback and implementing with the copy team and designers. Accountable for streamlining and optimisation of these processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Facilitate and feedback on localisation projects, maintaining and increasing the quality of the transcreation outputs
- Accountable for the tracking and negotiation of localisation budgets, spend and forecasts, raising POs and managing day-to-day billing and quotes with our agency
- Drive and lead education of the wider team and business on cultural/transcreation guidelines and processes, sharing knowledge through training workshops globally
- Own the optimisation of transcreation/creative copy processes, finding efficiencies and opportunities to streamline and make savings
- Leadership of localisation team members, coaching and developing skills as well as accounting for the day-to-day success of the localisation team
