TIFA Life Ltd provides high-quality accommodation and tailored support for 16+ young people, including care leavers, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC), and those at risk of homelessness.
Our mission is to offer a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can develop the confidence and life skills needed for independence.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Live-In Support Worker to join our growing team in Swansea.
You'll live on-site during your rota period (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) providing both emotional and practical support to young residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people transitioning to adulthood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day emotional and practical support to residents aged 16–21
- Promote independence and positive decision-making
- Maintain accurate daily records, risk assessments, and support plans
- Ensure the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of all residents
- Support young people with education, training, and employment opportunities
- Help with budgeting, cooking, and maintaining the accommodation environment
- Liaise professionally with social workers, local authorities, and colleagues
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service)
- Social Care Wales (SCW) registration (or willingness to register)
- Previous experience working with vulnerable young people (16+)
- Strong communication and boundary-setting skills
- Resilient, reliable, and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
