About the role:
Highway Operations require a Highways Inspector with good broad based experience of highways maintenance, knowledge of scheduling and programming highway works and repairs. Knowledge to determine appropriate repair solutions. Requests from customers. Produce daily, weekly and annual work programmes.
About you:
Skills: the applicant must be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels both verbally and with particularly good written skills. The applicant must be highly motivated and willing to assist with various activities during each day
What you will do:
Undertake programmed and reactive highway inspections and surveys.
- Respond to reports, complaints and service requests.
- Prepare daily, weekly and annual work programmes.
- Investigate and respond to 3rd party claims.
- Take part in the Out of hours standby Rota supervising winter maintenance gritting and emergencies.
- Supervise Highway works.

Service: Highways, Transport and Recycling
Salary: Grade 9 Point 23 to Point 25 £34,434 to £36,363 per annum £17.84 to £18.84 per hour
