Specialising in ceramics for nearly 65 years, Minoli supplies beautiful floor, wall and mosaic tiles to a diverse range of professional and private homeowner clients.
Minoli opened their London showroom in the heart of the West End in the Autumn of 2013, to further their ambitions to become the tile company of choice for a discerning clientele in the Capital.
Minoli London is located on George Street in Marylebone, nestled between Baker Street and Gloucester Place, just above Portman Square and Oxford Street and ideally placed for ease of access to and from Mayfair, Bond Street, the Royal Parks and Marble Arch.
Marylebone is a simple commute from most parts of London and has a lovely vibrant community feel. George Street itself has just undergone significant redevelopment, and an exciting new residential and retail offering will make the area a prime destination for an ever-more affluent and design-conscious visitor profile.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Showroom Host / Assistant to join the London team – someone who shares our ambitions for the success of the company and, more importantly, understands and is committed to providing excellent customer service.
The capable Showroom Host / Assistant will enjoy meeting clients and playing a role in ensuring the showroom runs efficiently and effectively for the many daily visitors, which include Interior Designers, Architects and Property Professionals.
Given the profile of the Marylebone and Mayfair area, and the high-end residential and professional clientele we attract from across London, some experience of premium customer service or luxury goods retail may be an advantage – but far from essential.
Main responsibilities:
- Meet and greet existing and prospective clients, customers of professional clients and suppliers.
- Introduce the visitors to the showroom concept and the products on display.
- Help with the arrangement of the showroom, to ensure the facility remains immaculately presented.
- Assist the Showroom Manager and the Director by arranging appointments, taking note of client choices etc.
- Occasionally prepare and serve refreshments for showroom visitors and meetings.
- Maintain a database of showroom visits / clients and keep the list up to date.
- Maintain a visitor / diary log and monitor the daily agenda and appointments.
- Be pro-active in ensuring that the showroom gallery and the meeting spaces are welcoming to visitors and meet their needs.
- To manage and update the extensive sample displays and despatch pre-cut sample packs as requested.
Skills and Competencies:
- A professional attitude towards existing and prospective clients, customers of professional clients and suppliers.
- To work as a proactive member of the team, predominantly with the Showroom Manager and the Director.
- To be proficient (competent) in the use of all main Microsoft Windows programmes and manage a database.
- To possess truly excellent communication skills, for both clients and work colleagues.
- To have an interest in interior design and architecture.
- To have enthusiasm for the products being presented, with an ability to learn quickly about the company and its product ranges.
- To be an organised person, and willing to ensure the showroom and company are professionally presented at all times.
Plus:
- To enjoy administrative tasks such as answering the phone, emails and general correspondence.
- To be confident- in talking to professionals such as Property Developers and Interior Designers.
- To be enthusiastic about being part of the dynamic Minoli London Team.
- To enjoy being involved in client hospitality events and assisting in the management of them.

OUTLINE TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Job Location: Minoli London – The Surface Within, 71-73 George Street, London, W1U 8AQ
- Monday to Friday 9:00 am pm with 1 hour for lunch
- Saturday by appointment 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and cover is currently provided on bi- weekly rota.

We are headquartered in Cowley, Oxford, also with showrooms in Marylebone, London.
