Job Description

IWI is looking for a Deputy Director of Fundraising to join us in an exciting time of organisational growth and development. The role reports directly to the Deputy Director of Fundraising. The Deputy Director of Fundraising will work very closely with the Director of Fundraising in developing strategy and implementing policy that will enable IWI to achieve its fundraising targets and organisational development programmes. They will have fundraising and management experience, a talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from statutory sources, foundations, trusts and major donors. Experience in development of an individual donor programme including donor marketing is also an advantage.

Assist with reaching target income to be achieved per annum: £250,000 minimum, including in-kind donations

Key Deliverables: Strategy and planning
    Assist Director of Fundraising with the annual fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies to achieve income targets across the range of revenue streams
    Identify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds

Key Deliverables: Financial Planning and Budget Management
    Help create cost-effective budgets to achieve action plans
    Develop and maintain income and expenditure tracking and evaluation systems
    Work with Director of Fundraising to ensure the fundraising team is kept within budget

Key Deliverables: Fundraising
    Assist with development of new individual giving development plan for 2018 which includes recruitment and development of new donors
    Develop and maintain effective supporter journeys for the development of relationships and retention

Key Deliverables: Staff Management
    Managing workload and performance through regular one-to-one line management discussions with Director of Fundraising
    Plan and implement development programme for team members in all relevant skills
    Undertake annual performance reviews

Qualifications

    Educated to degree level or equivalent
    Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously, take initiative and make decisions
    Evidence of Continued Professional Development relevant to the role purpose and level
    Strong leadership skills

Time Commitment: The minimum commitment is an average of 10 hours per week including a weekly one on one meeting with supervisor.
