BackgroundThe Web Content team is led by two Website Managers (City and Bayes Business School, formerly Cass). The team oversees the development and management of website content on and , ensuring best practice in content creation for the web and that web content governance is followed.
The team is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of some top-level sections of the City St George's and Bayes websites, managing larger projects to redevelop website sections and create new functionality, and the support of the University's content management system (CMS) - Squiz Matrix – users.
ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to support the Website Manager (City, St George's) and Web Content Officers in (i) maintaining and developing the existing City St George's website and (ii) supporting strategic projects across our web estate. The role holder will complete web content requests from internal stakeholders from across the Schools on a daily basis, with a focus on activities relating to the merger, such as creating a new, combined information architecture within defined sections of the site; especially in the prospective students and short courses sections. The post holder will make changes to course webpages periodically, in line with the University's recruitment cycle.
Person SpecificationThe post holder will have experience and knowledge of using a CMS, with excellent knowledge of web content best practice. They will have a high-level of writing and editing skills paying attention to detail. The post-holder will require strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across different teams and stakeholders. They will also have excellent organisational skills with experience of working to deadlines.
