Structherm are the market leading experts of External Wall Insulation, with a unique specialised structural refurbishment system for the non-traditional low rise and high rise social housing market.

We have over 40 years' experience in the industry and are now seeking to further promote our enviable reputation with the appointment of a Production Operative to fully support our production team.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Production

  2. Prepare panels in frames on the assembly table and feed the assembled panels/frames into the machine(s) ensuring quickest follow on from previous panel to reduce non-productive time to a minimum.

  3. Remove constructed panels from the machine, remove from the frame(s) and trim all excess and extruding wires from the panel and weld repair any loose wires as required.
  4. Quality check to remove any extruding wires.
  5. Wrap and pack stacks of panels ensuring that the appropriate label is attached and move stacks of panels into stores area.
  6. Ensure areas around the machine are clean and tidy at all times.
  7. Assist in any other aspect of factory production as required.

  8. Report any maintenance or repair issue

  9. Quality Control

  10. Ensure that all production is manufactured in accordance with the defined quality standards and that appropriate checks are carried out and recorded in accordance with the Companies documented Quality Control procedures.

  11. Health & Safety

  12. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the companies Health & Safety Management system policy and arrangements, ensuring control measures identified in Risk Assessments and safe working practices are adhered to.

  13. Sustainability

  14. Continually focus and work towards the objectives and targets defined within the Company Sustainability Policy.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work with production team
  • Assist with general maintenance of facilities/premises
  • Willing to work overtime as deemed appropriate by the company
  • Willing to work shifts during busy periods as deemed appropriate by the company
  • Good communication skills
  • Good understanding of operating procedures, Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices.
  • To ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place.
  • To comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation
  • To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
  • To ensure operations are carried out in accordance with the company Integrated Management System including BS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management system
  • To comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company

Education/Qualification

  • Machinery maintenance experience desired
  • Production skills and experience and/or qualification
  • Counterbalance Fork lift Truck License preferable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
