About The Role:Shift Pattern: 09:00 - 17:30, but flexibility required for events (which can include weekend working)
The role will be to manage the delivery of the security and cleaning services for this major contract, ensuring high quality and professional services are delivered within budget and in compliance with Health and Safety legislation, contract specification and Company policies. You'll manage the recruitment, induction and training of employees, including teams of casual colleagues, to meet the seasonal demands of the venue.
You will oversee the security and cleaning teams including preparing staffing levels to deliver a clean and safe environment that meets the required standards of the contract for all guests, colleagues and contractors. Reporting to the Head of FM Services, you will also develop an excellent relationship with the Client representatives, communicating effectively at all times, responding to any issues raised and ensuring non conformances are addressed within agreed timescales. You will maintain effective control of the operation through a number of reporting and monitoring tools including an electronic scheduling system, client EBMS system and CAFM.
You will need a determination to deliver and exceed customer expectation whilst maintaining and improving security performance, in a busy constantly evolving 24/7 environment that will include weekends and bank holiday working.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To co-ordinate all security and cleaning activities
- To maintain an effective rostering and scheduling system.
- To ensure financial budgets are monitored and costs do not exceed the budgetary amounts.
- To ensure a robust H&S Management plan is in place to ensure a successful operation.
- To provide a monthly report showing status of operations and highlighting any key points, Issues and areas of risk or concern.
- To ensure all orders are placed with vendors in order that deliveries are received in full and on time.
- To liaise with OCS & Warwick Castle stakeholders to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- To ensure a robust H&S Management plan is in place to ensure a successful operation.
Health and Safety accountabilities:
- Communicate regularly with colleagues through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and that morale remains high.
- Ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions and those of your colleagues
- Ensure that personal H&S competence and skill level is maintained i.e. attended Managing Safety programme and other Company safety events.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
- Ensure that work activities are properly managed and supervised.
Candidate Specification:
- IOSH (desirable not essential)
- BICS or SIA Door Supervisor (desirable not essential)
- 5 years or more in a FM soft services role - preferably within the private sector.
- Leading a team greater than 10 colleagues
- Maintaining and developing relationships with client
- Delivering Process driven efficiency's
- Experience in delivering efficient service within tight timelines
- Initiative and can-do attitude
