Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (fixed days, Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm)

Contract: Permanent

Qualification required: Level 3 in Early Years Childcare or equivalent

About Rosewood

We're now looking for an experienced Room Leader / Third in Charge to join our senior team. This role would suit someone confident in leading others, who takes pride in high standards of care and education, and enjoys working closely with children, families and colleagues.

About the Role

As Room Leader and Third in Charge, you will:

  • Lead your room team to provide high-quality care and learning opportunities
  • Support the daily running of the nursery, stepping up in the absence of senior leaders
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS and the Rosewood Curriculum
  • Carry out observations and assessments, supporting each child's next steps
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and families
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and well-organised environment
  • Promote safeguarding, equality and inclusion at all times

What We're Looking For

You'll need to be:

  • Level 3 qualified in Early Years Childcare (or above)
  • Experienced in leading or supporting a team within a nursery setting
  • Knowledgeable about the EYFS, child development and safeguarding
  • Organised, proactive and confident in taking responsibility
  • Positive, approachable and committed to giving children the best possible start

Experience of working with SEND, leading curriculum planning or supporting apprentices would be an advantage.
