Pioneer Group offer a specialist service in creating impactful digital signage in retail, hospitality and corporate environments, including: Stadium LED, digital menu boards, bespoke retail displays, EOPS and touch-point ordering. We are currently looking for an AV Service Engineer to join our team in Reading.

Whilst previous AV experience is desired, this is not an essential requirement; you will have experience of working in a field-based role; this position will involve UK travel as a daily/core element predominantly covering the South of the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

The position will be supporting our large client base with their Audio-Visual technology on a service basis and supporting our Installations team.

Overtime rate at time and a third + paid travel.

Job Specification

AV Service Engineer duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Travelling to the client's site as required.
  • Fault finding through to resolution.
  • Replacing AV equipment, internal and external.
  • Reporting back to the service and maintenance team.
  • Training in new digital signage, meeting room and LED solutions.
  • Regular stock checking and maintaining levels of stock

Candidate Specification

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience within a similar role working to strict SLA's.
  • Experience working in a field-based engineering role, across multiple site locations.
  • Experience of using power tools and hand tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to use initiative and professionalism.
  • Experience of working within a team and individually.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Ability to commute to Reading daily.

  • Experience of Digital Signage, Projectors, Video walls, LED.
  • Warehouse Responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of AV systems
  • Survey & Specification

Skills Required:

  • Good PC knowledge
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of networks.
  • CSCS/ECS Card
