Hours: 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week

About the Role

An esteemed NHS Mental Health Trust in London is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team.

This is a full-time position offering 10 Programmed Activities per week, providing the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility and deliver high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents. You will be part of a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team, contributing to service development, governance, and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management for CAMHS patients.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors and trainees.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development of care pathways and treatment protocols.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • CCT or CESR in Psychiatry.
  • Experience working within CAMHS or child and adolescent psychiatry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-working skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care.
