Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire Officer to work as part of our event team . Work is offered on a self employed basis and hours can fluctuate on a weekly basis . Person must have availability to work some weekends. The role will be based at a busy event venue in E20. Please only apply if you have similar or relevant experience and live within a close travel distance.

Duties

  • Conduct regular inspections of the venue premises to identify potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Be part of the team to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fire safety policies and procedures tailored to organisational needs.
  • Assist in an emergency response to fire incidents as well as evacuation procedures.
  • Report to the ESC Safety Officer
  • Assist in investigations into fire incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Skills
  • Proven experience in fire safety management preferably within an event environment.
  • Qualification in Fire Safety no less than Level 3 on the national framework of Qualifications.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to develop detailed safety protocols.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure during emergency situations while maintaining a calm demeanour.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 24 per week
