Risk & Controls Manager – Global Media and Communications Company – London – Hybrid

A leading global media and communications group is seeking an experienced Risk & Controls Manager to join its EMEA Risk & Controls team, based in London. The successful candidate will report to the EMEA Risk & Controls Lead and play a key role in implementing and monitoring an effective local control framework across multiple markets in alignment with global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance by providing training, guidance, and support on internal controls, anti-bribery, and policy adherence.
  • Design, implement, and monitor financial, operational, and compliance controls aligned with internal frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key business partner to local and regional teams, providing risk and controls expertise while supporting strategic initiatives and business changes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities and oversee remediation efforts, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance control effectiveness, and leverage technology.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA/CA/ACCA / CIMA Qualification
  • Experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or related consulting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to team and enterprise-wide goals.
