Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer and Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various technical skills related to gas installations, repairs, and maintenance. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards while delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with gas systems.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform necessary repairs and installations.
  • Collaborate with plumbing and carpentry teams to ensure seamless integration of gas systems within building structures.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while working on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
  • Assist in the assembly of gas-related components as required.
  • Perform heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
  • Drive commercial vehicles as needed for transportation of tools and materials to job sites.

Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and related appliances.

  • Fit bathroom and kitchen fixtures including sinks, toilets, baths, showers, and dishwashers.
  • Identify and repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing issues.
  • Carry out first and second fix plumbing work on new builds and renovations.
  • Install and service heating systems in collaboration with gas engineers.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues, ensuring compliance with building codes.
  • Work with drawings and specifications to plan plumbing layouts.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and left in good condition.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication.
  • Maintain tools and materials to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in plumbing, welding, carpentry, and assembly tasks.
  • Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
