About the Company
This fast growing technology business designs and delivers smart electric vehicle charging solutions for homes and commercial settings across the UK. Their products and platform are built to simplify charging for drivers, installers, and property owners, supporting the transition to cleaner transport.
Following recent contract wins and increasing customer demand, the business is expanding its customer services function and is looking to hire a Customer Service Advisor who enjoys working with people, thrives in a start-up environment, and is keen to get stuck in.
The Role
This is a hands on Customer Service Advisor position where you will support customers and installers across multiple channels including phone, email, live chat, and WhatsApp. You will handle general enquiries, provide guidance on EV charging and installations up to the point of installation, and carry out basic first line technical diagnostics when required. You will be trained closely by experienced colleagues and will have the opportunity to grow into either a more customer focused or technical focused pathway over time.
*This role is ideal for someone who has a great attitude, enjoys speaking with customers, and wants progression in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
• Responding to customer and installer enquiries via phone, email, live chat, and WhatsApp
• Managing general customer service enquiries related to EV charging products and installations
• Providing first line technical support including basic diagnostics when a charger is not working
• Supporting customers with installation queries up to the point of installation
• Managing installer communications and coordination where required
• Handling customer complaints and challenging conversations in a calm and confident manner
• Working closely with colleagues across customer and technical support to share knowledge and improve service
• Contributing to the development of processes and ways of working in a growing startup environment
About You
• Experience in a customer service or technical support role
• Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone and handling high volumes of enquiries
• A positive, hands on attitude with a willingness to roll your sleeves up
• Charismatic, confident, and friendly on the phone
• Happy dealing with customer complaints and occasional backlash
• Interest in electric vehicles or technical products is beneficial but not essential
• Experience with EV charging products or similar technical hardware is desirable and will be rewarded financially
• Keen to learn, develop, and progress within a growing business
Working Pattern
This role requires three days per week in the office. The office is based in Birmingham city centre.
