Quality Control Coordinator

At Intertek, we are looking to strengthen our Quality function and are delighted to be now recruiting a Quality Control Coordinator on a 2-year fixed-term contract, with potential to extend. This is a key role responsible for assuring quality across all facility execution activities, ensuring work meets the required standards and technical integrity.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring significant experience in quality assurance and control within the Oil & Gas industry. You'll be highly organised, methodical, and confident in developing and implementing quality systems. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to guide engineers and inspectors in achieving excellence.
Essential skills and experience:
- Significant experience within the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience in quality assurance and control
- Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
- Professional qualification in QA/QC standards (e.g. CSWIP, ASME, AWS, NACE, ISO) preferred
- Experience in quality system management, audit, certification, and QA/QC procedure development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English (written and spoken)
- Demonstrates initiative, resilience, and commitment to continuous improvement
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
In this role, you will verify that all project quality requirements are met and that work complies with approved quality plans. You'll manage the Quality Control System, coordinate audits and inspections, and liaise with vendors, contractors, and third-party authorities to maintain technical excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating Quality Control activities across construction sites and workshops
- Developing and implementing QC procedures, forms, and non-conformance systems
- Reviewing and approving contractors' and vendors' quality plans and documentation
- Conducting management reviews and technical audits
- Liaising with third-party validation and certification bodies
- Managing QC service contracts and preparing performance reports
- Ensuring adequate resources, skills, and tools are in place for QC delivery
