Private Client Solicitor – Yorkshire – £45,000–£65,000 + Hybrid Working & Excellent Benefits
3–6 PQE (NQ with prior experience considered) | Legal 500 Ranked Team | Flexible/Part-Time Options Available
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm to recruit a Private Client Solicitor to join their welcoming and collaborative team. This firm offers a unique blend of high-quality work, flexible working, and genuine career development.
The successful candidate will be working with an award-winning and Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked private client team, handling a wide variety of non-contentious work including wills, estate planning, powers of attorney, trusts, and complex probate matters.
Salary & Benefits
£45,000–£65,000, depending on experience
25 days annual leave + bank holidays

The Role
You'll manage your own caseload of private client matters and work closely with senior colleagues on more complex files. Key responsibilities include:
Drafting wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
Advising on inheritance tax planning and estate structuring
Handling estate administration from start to finish
Attending and leading client meetings (after training if needed)
Conducting will reviews and assisting with elder client matters
Supporting business development and marketing activities
Contributing to team performance and mentoring junior colleagues
Who We're Looking For
A qualified Solicitor with 3–6 years' PQE in Private Client work (NQ with relevant experience considered)
STEP-qualified or working towards qualification (support will be provided if needed)
Proficient in using legal tech and case management systems
Empathetic and client-focused, with excellent communication skills
A team player who enjoys collaborative work but can manage matters independently
Highly organised and able to meet billing and service standards
Location
The firm offers hybrid working, with access to modern offices in Harrogate, Leeds, and York. You'll need to be in the office at least 3 days per week, but there's flexibility around where and how you work the rest of the time.
